Ahhhhh....Spring is here!

I have never been so glad to say goodbye to winter! This weekend was perfect...not too cold and not too hot. We spent the entire weekend outside - and it was fantastic!

Travis got the garage cleaned out, and we thoroughly cleaned the screened porch and everything in it. We used a power washer, so Kaden was willing to "help" clean. What a mess! Giving a 5 yr old a power washer....not the smartest thing we've ever done! He had a blast (literally), so it was worth it. It is nice to have it all cleaned so we can start spending time out there. Travis even hung shades, so we aren't blinded when the late afternoon sun shines in.

We also picked up sticks, trimmed a few bushes, picked up all the Schatzi potty big, and even got rid of a VERY stinky, decaying possum in the wooded area behind our house. You could smell it from far away...it
was disgusting!

It was such a productive weekend........love that feeling!  The best part of the weekend was playing with the kids. They both loved playing on the playset, playing with Schatzi, taking walks, playing on the porch and eating all our meals outside! Just hanging out at home - it doesn't get any better than that!

We really needed a wonderful weekend like that....things have been kinda rough, so having a couple beautiful days means so much! I don't take days like that for granted anymore. I know how special they are!

Laughing Out Loud

The greatest thing happened last night. All of us were sitting in the family room watching TV. We were watching America's Funniest Home Videos...one of Kaden's favorites. A funny part came on and we were ALL laughing hysterically.....it was nice. We haven't laughed in a long time. Great to see Kaden happy and cheerful. Laughing is the BEST...oh, I love the simple things in life!

I think I need pictures on my blog....I'll work on figuring it out....might take awhile.
